Vita Animal Health to showcase new Omnicardio Plus at London Vet Show

Vita Animal Health will make its debut at The London Vet Show on the 14th – 15th November 2024 with its newly reformulated cardiac supplement, Omniocardio Plus, now back in stock. To celebrate, Vita will be offering visitors to stand F69 the chance to win a premium cardiac stethoscope.

Now available again in the UK after regulatory and manufacturing delays, Omnicardio Plus combines key ingredients, including astaxanthin and L-carnitine, to support cardiovascular health in pets. Safe for use alongside all heart medications, Omnicardio Plus is especially beneficial for breeds predisposed to cardiac disease, either as a preventive measure before a heart murmur develops, or as an adjunct to treatment in more advanced cases.

Tara Evans, veterinary nurse and Sales Manager at Vita Animal Health, explained that heart disease is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in dogs and cats, affecting an estimated 10 percent of dogs. “We’re thrilled to have Omnicardio Plus available once again, offering vets an effective tool to support cardiac health in their patients,” she said. “The London Vet Show is a highlight of the year for so many in the profession, and we can’t wait to finally be attending! With Omnicardio taking centre stage on the Vita stand and a cardiac stethoscope up for grabs, we’re looking forward to a busy couple of days connecting with delegates and sharing how Omnicardio can make a difference.”

Cardiac stethoscopes are designed for clarity and precision, helping in the auscultation of subtle heart or lung sounds that might go undetected with a standard stethoscope. This enhanced sensitivity allows for more reliable auscultation of low-frequency heart sounds, such as those associated with mitral stenosis and S3 gallop rhythms. To be in with a chance of winning a Littmann Core Digital Stethoscope in high polish rainbow with case and spare parts set, delegates are invited to visit the Vita Animal Health stand F69 and speak to one of the Vita team.

To assist pet owners in recognising heart disease early, Vita Animal Health has also created an infographic highlighting the common signs of heart disease in dogs. This resource is available at: https://vitaanimalhealth.com/common-signs-of-heart-disease/
