Gemma says: ‘The rise in pet ownership during the pandemic has brought new challenges for the veterinary community and by joining Macahl Animal Health I hope to play my part in navigating these. I am looking forward to collaborating with veterinary teams both in the UK and internationally, speaking to them about the fantastic products in the Oralade® portfolio and discovering how we can continue to provide the best ongoing practical support through high-quality CPD and new product innovations.’

The family-led company already exports to more than 50 countries globally from their base in Northern Ireland and is dedicated to improving the lives of animals and veterinary professionals alike, looking to reach more pets elsewhere in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Gemma will be working with veterinary practices, referral centres and universities internationally to help promote a rounded approach to pet care.

Anthony Mackle, Managing Director of Macahl Animal Health, adds: ‘Gemma is a brilliant asset to the company and we are pleased to welcome her to the team as we look to develop some really forward-thinking pet care products. It’s been a difficult year for veterinary teams and we are thinking about different ways in which we can provide more assistance with CPD and case queries.’
