Supreme Rounds-Up Rabbit Specialists for London Vet Show

Supreme Petfoods is delighted to bring a series of specialist rabbit lectures to London Vet Show in November this year. The talks will see experts from across the globe cover a host of hot medical and surgical rabbit topics, along with a round table of case-based discussions.

Claire Hamblion, Marketing Manager at Supreme said, “Rabbits can sometimes be the trickiest of patients, with expertise often being less widely available than for cats and dogs, so we are thrilled to be able provide rabbit enthusiasts with contemporary thinking on some common medical and surgical dilemmas from world-class specialists.”

Current concepts in dental disease, digestive disorders, calcium metabolism, urinary disease and  ‘sticky bottom’ syndrome are among the topics to be covered. The interactive case discussion session will provide a rare opportunity for the audience to have their questions answered by rabbit experts and share the experiences of other professionals.

Speakers include Charly Pignon, DVM Head of the Exotics Medicine Service at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vétérinaire d’Alfort in France; Anna Meredith, MA VetMB CertLAS DZooMed MRCVS,; Molly Varga, BVetMed DZooMed MRCVS, RCVS Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine; Livia Benato MRCVS, Lecturer in Rabbit and Exotic animal Husbandry and Nutrition and Wendy Bament RVN BSc (Hons) MSc, Exotic Animal Veterinary Nurse.

Wendy Bament commented, “Not only am I really looking forward to being able to share my expertise with other rabbit enthusiasts, but the London Vet Show is also a great opportunity to meet members of the profession and learn of their experiences.”

London Vet Show is a highlight in the calendar for many veterinary professionals, renowned for its provision of top-class CPD and seminars, to which Supreme is pleased to be contributing with its lecture line-up. Not only are the specialists regarded as academic leaders of their profession, but they are also renowned successful speakers, making the seminar series an unmissable opportunity.

Claire Hamblion is Supreme Marketing Manager, “We spend a lot of time talking to veterinary experts around the world about the nutritional needs of small furries. It’s a real pleasure to bring some of them to London Vet Show to share their experience and knowledge.”

Vets that are aiming for clinical excellence when dealing with bunnies, should hop along to London this November.

About Supreme Petfoods.

Supreme Petfoods was the first company to make species specific small animal diets that reflected their unique nutritional requirements. The Supreme range includes Science Selective, which is widely recommended by veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses. As well as offering the biggest range of species specific foods, Supreme also manufactures all its herbivore diets in dedicated vegetarian facilities. Only ingredients of the highest quality are sourced for use in the Supreme range of foods and the recipes are developed to be palatable without the use of added sugar. Supreme recipes are all manufactured to a fixed formula to minimise the risk of gastric upset and while the company produces diets containing the highest fibre levels of any rabbit food, hay is always recommended as an additional food source to promote dental wear, provide environmental enrichment, foraging and nesting opportunities.
